Saturday evening a group from our card party, journeyed journeyed to Maple Grove for a meat and potato pie supper. It was good. After our supper, several went to the home of Gus and Leone Wilson for a card game. And, of course, everyone enjoyed lunch again. Thanks to Gus and Leone. Sunday night, five couples from Solina went to the Dutch Oven for supper. The five couples will all be celebrating our 45th wedding anniversaries this year. They are: Wes and Doris Hills, who are celebrating in June; Ross and Marjorie Cryderman, June; Harvey and Lois Yellowlees, August; Harry and Loraine Knox, September; Charles and Alma Langmaid, October. We enjoyed a lovely supper, supper, and after supper we were at the home of Harry and Loraine Knox for a nice visit. It was a lovely evening for us! Sunday, June 9, there will be a - Baptismal Service at Eldad. Sunday, June 9 Hampton Cemetery service at Hampton Church at 2 p.m. June 15 is "Solina Day" at the park. Come and have fun!! Our church service had a small attendance. Harry and Loraine Knox were our greeters and Elaine Baker our lay reader. Also, Donna Snowden who visited her brother and family in France. The Snowden family picnic was held at the hall on Sunday afternoon. In April 1996, the Chief Administrative Officer for the Municipality of Clarington prepared a report to the General Purpose .and Administrative Committee in response to the Trust's Report.
