Centre in Bowmanville's Soper Soper Creek Park. As the name suggests, the popular outdoor event features all forms of art, including painting, crafts, music, music, dance, and much more. Hours are from 10 a.m. to four p.m. • ••••••MM RECAP LAUNCHES RENOVATION PROJECT - The Residential Conservation Assistance Program (RECAP) and the Darlington Youth Soccer Club will launch the transformation transformation of the historic Maplecliff Farmhouse August 10th. That's the date for the official opening of the renovation project project at the historic home located at the west side of the Darlington Darlington Nuclear Generating Station. RECAP will renovate and retrofit the main floor and basement of this house. The property property will also be a headquarters for teaching homeowners to improve the comfort and efficiency of their homes. A demonstration demonstration garden is also planned. SUNDAY, AUGUST11 FAMILY CARNIVAL AT LIONS CENTRE - There will be fun for the whole family on Sunday, August 11, at the Bowmanville Lions Centré on Beech Ave. That's the setting for the annual carnival sponsored by Pizza Pizza, in cooperation cooperation with the Bowmanville Lions Club. Special activities include a magic show with Jimbo the Clown; a live animal show from the Jungle Cat World in Orono; a performance by the Theatre Dance Academy and "Bamee in Concert." There will also be a petting zoo, balloon sculpturing, a variety of carnival carnival games for young and old, and 50-cent pizza slices. For just a dollar, you can buy a ticket on draws for over $1,000 worth of,prizes donated by local businesses. Organizers make every effort to ensure that each child goes away with a prize. All proceeds support the Lions Club's Camp Trillium project, which offers a summer camp experience for children with cancer cancer and their families. Admission is free. SHOW AND SHINE EAST - See a spectacular display of hot rods, antique, custom and classic cars at the 10th anniversary anniversary Show and Shine East show oh Sunday, August 11 sponsored by the Bowmanville Optimists. The event will be held at the Enniskillen (South) Conservation Area from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and all proceeds from the day go to support local projects for youth. There will be a food concession, a children's play area and a special raffle draw. Adults $3, children children $1. CONCERT AND BBQ -- On Sunday, August 11 all are welcome welcome to attend the Sellwood Concert and Barbecue at Newcastle Newcastle Park. All proceeds go to support the Clarington East Food Bank.
