Several local 4-Hers took the 4-H Challenge and travelled travelled on Friday to the Peterborough Peterborough Exhibition to compete in the Regional 4-H Judging Competition. Crimestoppers Seek Clues To April 1 st Robbery in Ajax Crimestoppers and Durham Regional Police need your help in solving a Robbery that occurred occurred in Ajax on April 1st. Around 4:00 a.m. a male entered Mac's Milk at 34 Harwood Harwood Avenue South. Armed with a knife he ordered the store clerk to lie on the floor. After forcing the cash register, the suspect fled the store with a quantity of cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets in a garbage bag. Suspect is described as male in his early 20's, 5'7", 150 lbs. Wearing black nylon pants, black hooded sweatshirt, dark gloves, dark hat and a green and red pattern scarf, that covered his facial area. The knife is described as having having a wooden handle. Zoo Supports Community Living Assoc. This Saturday, Aug. 24, the lions, tigers and elephants of the Bowmanvillc Zoo will perhaps be performing with an added sparkle in their eyes because they know that a percentage of all admissions will be donated to the Oshawa/Clarington Association for Community Living. While these little creatures arc not lions, or tigers or even elephants, elephants, Patrick O'Leary, of the Oshawa/Clarington Association for Community Living, Living, got a kick out of feeding the deer.
