Bowmanville resident James Jordan was one of eight members of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program Program who took part in this year's PLAYSAFE/ DRIVES AFE float in the Oshawa Fiesta parade. James, 11, was bom missing missing part of his left arm and was enrolled in CHAMP soon after. Over the years, he has participated participated in several parades and attended attended CHAMP Seminars, which provide an opportunity to share concerns, see the latest developments in artificial limbs, meet other child amputees amputees and develop a Winner's philosophy toward challenges. This year, James was a "Safety Ambassador", riding on board the float, watching out for danger danger and helping to spread The War Amps safety messages along the way. The Warm Amps has found its Boats to be popular and effective effective with children along the parade route.
