Caribbean Calypso A touch of the Caribbean came to Courtice on Saturday, Saturday, August 24, when the Build Courtice organization held a fund-raiser in connection with the official opening of two new businesses in the Courtice Court on Highway Two, just east of Townline Rd. The Club Carib Sound-of Steel, were the special guests. The Oshawa-based steel band entertained throughout the day. The two new businesses businesses which opened on Saturday were Grant Morris Travel and the Co-operators Financial Services. In addition addition to the food and music, there was face-painting, clowns, and free Bahamian pastries.
