Your support in the past has enabled both clubs to promote many projects projects in our community and many areas around the world. The first Service Clubs were organized organized in the early 1900's as social social and fellowship clubs whose members shared the same interests. interests. One of the first thoughts of the members was that they would help each other by promoting the business activities of each other. However, it was not long before they realized that the clubs could and would not survive if all of their efforts were directed for their own individual benefits. From this idea, our programs of Community Service Service was bom. Today we. see the results of these changes. Every Service Club now has a program of Community Service and in our area, we can all enjoy and share in the many benefits the clubs have provided. Some of the clubs work only in their local communities, others have organized clubs in their own countries and some became international international by organizing clubs in many countries of the world. The clubs never try to compete with each other to do the same project. project. The first club to start a project is encouraged and supported by the other area clubs to complete the project successfully. As a result the children with cystic fibrosis are helped by our Kinsmen Club and the disabled children by our Rotary Club. Our members through their dues and personal contributions contributions cover all the costs of operating operating our clubs for the benefit of our members. We are also proud of the fact that none of our members receive receive any payment for the many hours of volunteer work required for our projects such as the Ontario Rodeo Championships. Of course, we recognize the reason for this is due to the support of you, our fans. We are proud of the fact that rodeo is a family sport, everyone young and old is welcome and will be entertained.
