The colour, the excitement and the action of a genuine Wild West Show, the original and uniquely American spectacle spectacle makes a one day stop at the Ontario Rodeo Championships Championships in Clarington. One of the few remaining authentic wild west shows in existence, Tom Bishop's 4-B Ranch Shows, now in its 83rd year of operation has been booked by the Bowmanville Rotary and Kinsmen Clubs to appear at the Rodeo Finals on Friday, September 20th at 6:00 p.m. The show, called "A Tribute to Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley"? features many authentic and breath taking recreations recreations of Col. W. F. Cody's original show and programs. That show delighted the American peoples from coast to coast and went on to captivate the European continent, performing performing before the crowned heads of Europe and millions of excited patrons. Mark Dobrint leads of the 4-B Ranch Square Dance Team, in which 4 cowboys and 4 cowgirls mounted on agile footed cow ponies, a-la-man left and do-xi-do to announcer Hub Hubbel's creative square dance calls. One of Buffalo Bill's favourite events was "Cowboy soccer", soccer", a game played on horseback by 2 teams of horsemen with a gigantic 6 foot ball. And speaking of Buffalo Bill, he makes his grand appearance throughout the show and turns in an outstanding performance as well. Foxfire, the performing black stallion who was featured on Disney's "Road to Avonlea", and a breathtaking display of trick and fancy lariat handling are other great events in this all star grandstand show. The action continues with Tom Bishop Jr. and his exciting exciting display of bull whips, tomahawks and flying knives, reminiscent of the great vaudeville acts of old. With the help of pretty wife Kimberly, Tom will show you "cutting edge" dexterity, not to be tried at home. Annie Oakley demonstrates her international reputation for horsemanship and sharp shooting in an appearance that always leaves audiences cheering, to the cadence of her rapid fire Winchester rifle. These and other highlights of the old west will keep both children and adults on the edge of their seats. The 4-B Ranch Wild West Show travels throughout Canada and the United States, playing indoor and outdoor dates from May to November. Whether hurtling through the arena on the backs of fiery horses or demonstrating the skills and patience of training these outstanding high-schooled equines, the 4-B Ranch Wild West performers can be counted upon for filling almost every minute with excitement and thrills.
