Following their usual Sunday morning service, the choir travelled to Yelverton to provide choral music for the celebration of Yelverton United United Church's 134th anniversary. St. John's presented a "birthday" "birthday" programme of contemporary contemporary Liturgical and Hymn music, music, which was well received by the Yelverton congregation. After the service there was an opportunity for fellowship as the Yelverton folks entertained their Blackstock guests at lunch. Father Hugh will launch the "Music for the Young-and Young of Heart" Programme on Thursday, September 26th at 3:45 p.m. The goals are to establish a Music Group for young people who can play a recorder, guitar or other instrument instrument or who have some rudi mentary knowledge of the piano piano and also to encourage choral singing among young people. Hugh hopes that the group may become skillful enough to participate in some church services but the main aim of the game will be to have fun making music.
