Passed away at Memorial Hospital, Hospital, Bowmanville, in his 74th year after a six week illness. Leonard, son of William and Ethel was born and educated in Bedfont, England. He married Margaret (Peggy) Bradbrook on July 20, 1942. After emigrating to Canada he settled in Whitby. He had lived in Bowmanville for the last 22 years. Leonard retired retired from the Region of Durham 16 years ago. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church in Bowmanville. He belonged to the Masons and was a member with the David T. Campbell Lodge Whitby, Jerusalem Lodge Bowmanville, Palestine Chapter Bowmanville Palestine Percept Port Hope, Royal Archmason Archmason Peterborough, Quinte Council and York Rites College Belleville. Leonard is survived by his wife Margaret, sons Michael, David, Peter, Leonard, William and one daughter Carol. Will always be fondly remembered remembered by his 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The funeral funeral took place on August 24, 1996 at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Chapel, followed by cremation. Pallbearers Pallbearers were his sons and his son-in-law Ivan Armstrong.
