We want to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Roy Quinn and Car- son to our neighborhood. They have moved into the former Somberger home. Ron, Jennifer, Jennifer, Alexandra and Jessica, we want to wish you much happiness happiness in your new home in Oshawa. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Sanderson, Sanderson, Raglan, were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Lamb were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Drew, Hampton, Mr. and Mrs. Don Lamb, Bai- leboro. Frank Stenger and Tim Sargent Sargent went to the Western Ontario Ontario Championship Show for Jerseys in Stradford. The Intermediate Intermediate Yearling won her Class and Reserved Junior Championship for the Heifer. Their five year old cow won her class and was picked Grand Champion and 1st best lidder for the entire show of 150 animals. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wright and Betty, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sanderson, Sanderson, Brooklin. Church News On September 28th Enniskillen Enniskillen hosted a Joint Charge Pot Luck Supper which was enjoyed by all. Thanksgiving Food Bank - Enniskillen United Church will be holding our own Thanksgiving Thanksgiving Service on October 13th. We will be collecting non- perishable food as well as any Ebenezer U.C.W. On Tuesday, September 10, >1996, at 12:30 p.m., Ebenezer U.C.W. held their regular meeting at the home of Greta Down. Twenty-one ladies attended. attended. President Eileen Down presided. Bernice Pearce opened the devotional with Verses 1 and 2 from Psalm 24 which remind us that the earth is the Lord's and everything in it. We respond respond as we share our gifts with those we meet. Prayer followed. followed. Marie Adams gave the meditation, comparing the tree with all its majesty to the Christian - both depending to-' tally on God and both the results results of God's love and mysterious mysterious power. The offering was gathered by treasurer Joan Down and the coins for the Fellowship of the Least Coin were collected by Eileen. We all enjoyed the Puzzles which formed scripture verses. A card was signed for Ruth Leslie who is in Oshawa Hospital. Hospital. Our next meeting will be held at Ebenezer on October 8 at 7:30 p.m. Our guest, Mary Shepherd ' from Whitby, will speak on 'Social Issues'. It was decided to give Financial support support to the 'United We're Awesome' Awesome' day for young people which is to be held at Simcoe St., Oshawa, on October 19. Regional meetings are scheduled as follows: October 16, 12:30 p.m. at Maple Grove and October 23, 6:00 p.m. at St. Andrew's Oshawa. Wool to be prepared for Jack Frost articles articles was made available. A committee was formed to plan the lunch to be served at the Lakeshore farm of Greta Down and the late Wes Down on Saturday, October 5. Greta presented information on the re-zoning request for the land on the N.E. comer of Bloor St. and Courtice Rd. which is across from Ebenezer Church. The congregation is asked to attend the meeting at the Bowmanville Town Hall on Monday, October 7 at 9:30 a.m. other food donations to the Salvation Army in Bowmanville. Bowmanville. Please leave your donations donations in the containers provided at the back of the sanctuary or at the table decorated at the front. The Enniskillen 4-H Club is looking for donations of old scraps of material, old jewellery, jewellery, beads, etc., for the wearable wearable art they will be making this fall. Please leave any donations you may have in the box in the vestibule. Bible Study - Tuesdays 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. at Enniskillen United Church. The Enniskillen U.C.W. are sponsoring a concert on October October 19th at 7:30 p.m. Our guests are the Devries family. They will be singing for us. Tickets are available from U.C.W: members $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children under 12. Enniskillen Sunday School's Family Fun Night. Saturday, October 26th at 5:00 p.m. till Bed time at Enniskillen Enniskillen United^ Church. Games, Family Fun, a Pot Luck Supper. Supper. Please bring a main course or dessert.
