A large turnout of children children came forth on Saturday, October 5 to have their stuffed animals blessed. They also joined the choir in their rendition of Noah's Ark. Afterward, refreshments were served in the parish hall, with thanks to the parents who provided baked goods, and to Betty Formosa who oversaw the entire event. We are also extremely grateful to Colleen O'Reilly and Rene Pleasance who took each willing child on a horseback ride that evening. The following day, our chapel was officially named in honour of St. Clare of Assisi. This seems quite appropriate as she was as instrumental in the rapid spreading of the Francis- Reception Planned For Exhibit Opening An exhibition at the Gallery of Northumberland October 27 to December 8 will focus on 3+3 Group of Brighton. It's an informal association of artists from the Brighton area who have exhibited together for several years. Included in the exhibition will be Jennifer Chanter, Gerald Gerald Banting, Paul Dyment, Bill Murtha, Juta Tuul, Richard McNeill, Deborah Hackett and Carol Cole Ogilvy. The opening reception of the exhibition is on Sunday, October 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. Artists will be present.
