Aamco Bantams Struggle Against Tough Opponents The Clarington/Courtice Independent, Bowmanville, Saturday, November 23,1996 7 On Saturday, October 26, Aamco Home Improvements met Bowmanville Sand and Gravel for the first time this season. Sand and Gravel grabbed the lead early catching Aamco off guard. Troy Tan evened the score on a nice shot from the point. Sand and Gravel Gravel turned it on to score four unassisted unassisted goals, and end the game 5-1. Aamco met Darlington Auto on November 2. Aamco worked hard but just couldn't find the mark as they lost 4-0. On Saturday, November 9, Aamco took on Skylight Donuts Donuts for their first match of the year. Skylight lit up the score- board first, but Aamco answered answered back when Jordan Bate jumped on a rebound, assisted by Rob Milford. Aamco played one of their best games so far, creating some great scoring chances but just couldn't get the bounces. Later that night Aamco's luck would finally change when they travelled to Baltimore Baltimore to play qn exhibition game against Grafton. The offense offense came to life. Aamco came out flying applying pressure early in the game. Lange's opened the scoring, but Aamco tied it 47 seconds later when Tim Swan scored, assisted by Rob Milford and David Griffin. Lange's were up by two by the end of the second. Aamco fought back hard. Rob Milford scored on a pass from Jeff Lee, but then Lange's came to life making it 5-2. Aamco wouldn't quit and Jamie Grant found the mark, assisted by Drew Sommerville and Korey Jay. With 2:02 left, Aamco closed the gap when Rob Milford Milford fed a pass to Tim Swan who buried it.
