Optimist Club Newcastle Atoms Atoms were in Oshawa on November November 22. Our goalie, Ashley Weir, got her usual 30 shots, including one off the helmet. We showed Oshawa News team that once again we are not a team that gives up. On a play which started in our own end, Candace Allen and Laura Stacey assisted on our first league goal by Janice Kelly. With Natasha Petrovic serving serving a three minute penalty for bodychecking, we were able to third. It went to Alley Stade as- kill the penalty with great skat- sisted by Tara Slemon. Although Clare Cudahy faced numerous shots, the score was no indication indication of what a fantastic game Cudahy played. Final score Clarington 0, Cordova 6. 7- Eleven Peewees are off to their first tournament in Peterborough, Peterborough, November 30. Grant's Physiotherapy Bantam/Midget, Bantam/Midget, on November 19, took to the ice to challenge Barterworld. In the first period, Grant's first goal came from Julie Flintoff assisted by Emily Muir. Again in the first period, Clarington's great passing ability ability from Krista Traynor and Lisa Marie Akeson to Emily Muir, gave Clarington a 2-0 lead. In the third period, Emily Muir picked up another goal unassisted. Great goaltending by Heidi Pardy gave Clarington Clarington a shutout of 3-0.
