During classes in the upcoming upcoming weeks, children will journey journey into the Christmas season through many class activities. At both the 7:00 Saturday night and 11:00 Sunday morning morning classes, you will find colourful colourful stories, plenty of songs, games and crafts for all children children between the ages of 3 and grade 2. The children's offera- tory of non-perishable food items will also continue during this time. On Saturday, December 7, the Knights of Columbus have planned a social evening for all Knights and their wives. They are also hosting a New Year's Eve dance for all parish members members and their friends. Ticket information for the dance is available through Paul Scott at 987-5420. Also on Saturday, December 7, parishioners will have the opportunity to select a child's bell from the St. Vincent de Paul 'Christmas Tree of Gifts'. Each bell will feature the age and sex of the child you've chosen to buy for. Unwrapped gifts and non-perishable food donations may be returned to the parish by December 15. Afterwards, Afterwards, Christmas hampers will be put together. The parish is looking for a member capable of tuning our piano so it may be used for Sunday Liturgies. If you know of someone who can help, please contact Fr. Randy at 987-5446. . We are also still trying to find a parent that attends 11:00 Mass to instruct some Children's Children's Liturgy classes in the New Year. Your assistance would be required approximately approximately every 4 weeks, and sometimes even less often. If you'd like to help out, please contact Betty at 987-3127. Congratulations are extended to the two newest members of our Christian Community. Both Elash Hinds (child of John and Pauline), and Ashley Georgi (child of Nash and Naj- wa) were baptized on November November 24. Sixteen additions in the areas areas of service and two changes changes in the level of service were cited as reasons for the higher costs. The price tag was $47,856 over budget The report was met with disbelief from the Ward Three Regional Councillor Ann Dreslinski. "I find this'distressing that the Works Department decided decided to go over budget by 30 per cent," she stated. She wanted to know if staff was in the habit of making making decisions such as this without notifying the council. Public Works Director Stephen Yokes replied: "I believe believe councillors were aware of the number of phone calls and complaints" regarding the grass cutting. Councillor Dreslinski pointed to the fact that there were several additions to the contract and said, "this isn't one or two, but this is a major error." iFRAMf! 234 King Street East, Bowmanville irminni (90S) 623-3393 SNOWMOBILE FROM YOUR FRONT DOORI NEW HOME WITH W/O BASEMENT Spotless 3 + 2 bedroom raised bungalow on Located on super court In Bowmanville. 4 a beautiful big lot (100' x 100' approx.), bedroom, 1,680 sq. ft. home with main Nicely finished walkout basement, newer windows and doors.
