The midgets lost 55-41 to drop to 0-5 in league play, while the juniors (pictured above), lost 66-53 to fall to 1-4. Murray Lynch led Bowmanville in the junior game with 24 points. Skylight Donuts Bantams Falter at Keene Tourney The Skylight Donuts Bantam hockey team played in a tournament tournament hosted by the Keene Bantams Saturday, December 14. Last Wednesday, December December 11, the BHS midgets and juniors travelled to Paul Dwyer to play a LOSSA "AAA" league game. Dwyer has no senior team. The midgets came out and played with no aggressiveness aggressiveness and lost 55-41 to fall to 0-5 in league play. The juniors juniors played Dwyer tough through the first half, but ran out of gas in the fourth quarter quarter and lost 66-53. Dwyer jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead early in the opening quarter on the BHS midgets, and Bowmanville were never able to recover. Bowmanville trailed 32-19 at halftime and coach Bill Todd told them that they needed to play more aggressive aggressive and cut down on the missed shots. BHS didn't take coach Todd's advice and Dwyer ran away with the game. Dwyer led 44-25 heading into the final quarter. The only positive of the game was that Bowmanville outscored Dwyer 16-11 in the final quarter. Coach Todd, who received a technical foul for complaining complaining about the officiating, had a reason to complain as his team was getting pushed around by Dwyer and the referees referees just put their whistles away. "We played well, but we were a little slow on defence." Macmaster feels his team ran out of gas against Dwyer because of their recent heavy schedule. "The boys need a break. We have played nine out of 10 after today's game (vs Dwyer)," he stated. Murray Lynch led all Bowmanville juniors with a game-high 24 points.
