The Kids Safety Village is located on Athol Street behind Kathleen Rowe Memorial Public School. Christmas festivities continue until Dec. 23. High School Apprentices Four-year-old Derek Aide meets Santa at the Breakfast With Santa event held on Saturday, December December 14th at Dr. Ross Tilley Public School in Bowmanville. The breakfast, which included carolsinging, carolsinging, was conducted by parent volunteers. Forty top students from Durham Durham Region high schools, selected selected by industry members from two Local Apprenticeship Committees, will be registering as apprentices in one of the skilled trades programs of Automotive Automotive Service Technician, General Machinist, Mold Maker Maker and Tool and Die Maker. Industry Industry is a very important component component of the Youth Internship Apprenticeship Program. The program requires the students to enter industry for two work placements with industry that relates to their apprenticeship trade area.
