She was in her 81st year. She was born in Verulam Township, Victoria County, Ontario, to George Frederick Purdy and Margaret Ethel Ventress. Her education took place at Bobcaygeon and Bowmanville. In 1938 she married married Orland Norman Plummer who predeceased her in 1980. Mrs. Plummer had resided at her Liberty St. home for 48 years. She was a member of Trinity United Church, Esther Unit, Trinity U.C.W., the Hospital Auxiliary Auxiliary and Bowmanville Senior Citizens. Her interests centered around her family, her church and her garden. She is survived by her children, Carol and her husband Oliver Holdstock, Alan and his wife Judy and Margaret and her husband husband Paul Miner, her sister Veda Thompson and brother Gerald Purdy. She was the loving loving grandmother to Heather and her husband Ken Howe, Susan Holdstock, Laura and her husband husband Ian Parkes, Kristen and Mark Plummer, Michael and Danielle Miner. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Rebecca Rebecca and Olivia Howe. Predeceased Predeceased by sisters Edith Taylor, Jean McMurter, and Ruth Murphy and brother Ernest Purdy. Purdy.
