In an upcoming exhibition, he has re-presented a number number of sites that had been previously represented in the Bouckley Collection. The exhibit is entitled Before/Now: Photographs from the Thomas Bouckley Collection of Historic Photographs and Rephotographs Rephotographs by Blake Fitzpatrick. The exhibition runs from March 20th to June 8th. In the summer and fall of 1996, Blake produced à series of photographs of each view in large format colour photographs. This format not only heightened the differences in the history of the site but also presented a difference in the treatment of the site as photograph. These photographs were commissioned by the gallery and will become part of Thomas Bouckley Collection. . Blake Fitzpatrick's work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions including most recently a show at the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, Ottawa and Gallery TPW, Toronto. Thomas Bouckley 1904-1988, was born in Blackpool, England. He first became interested in collecting photographs of Oshawa after acquiring his father's collection. A graduate of University of Toronto in ceramic engineering, Tom Bouckley authored three volumes of photos and historical facts about Oshawa. "Lost Girls" can be Found at Gallery An exhibition of art by Ontario artist Michele Karch- Ackerman will open at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery on Thursday, 6 March. Lost Girls is an exhibition encompassing 14 framed paper works amongst the installation of four flesh-toned organza dresses within an environment of poplar trees. The gallery invites the public public to join Michele Karch- Ackerman on Thursday, 6 March at 1 p.m. for a walkabout walkabout and discussion of the works in her exhibition. Admission Free. Michele Karch-Ackerman's works, past and present, explore parallels between nature and the human spirit. Environmentally indigenous objects are interwoven with investigations of 19th and 20th century female rituals, gender images, icons and artifacts of "girl history". Thus, this intuitive intuitive study of growth and death, as it relates to the human essence, is metaphorically transformed. Michele Karch-Ackerman has been exhibiting her work since 1994. She has studied at the Ontario College of Art and spent six months as Artist-in- Residence at Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario. The exhibition continues at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery until 6 April. 9 u Specializing in Dutch and Canadian Fooas Licensed under LLBO TWO FOR ONE SPECIAL From 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. One dinner per ad Any special occasion?
