Baltimore jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead by the end of the first. Kyle Whealey popped one for Newcastle in the second second to make it a 3-1 score. Baltimore scored the lone goal of the third to score a well- earned 4-1 victory. With Thursday's loss still fresh in their minds, Newcastle faced a second Baltimore squad on Saturday, February 15. Kyle Whealey put Newcastle up 1-0 on a nice pass from . Paul Ferguson. Baltimore replied with one of their own to even the score at the end of the first. Jeffrey Frenette put Newcastle up 2-1 on a fine solo effort. Minutes later, Baltimore scored to even it up. Baltimore then scored two straight before Camden Matthews scored a tenacious solo marker. At the end of two Baltimore held a slim 4-3 lead. Kyle Whealey scored on a great individual effort to tie the score for Newcastle. The game winner to complete the hat trick was scored by Kyle Whealey. Final score Newcastle 5, Baltimore 4. Newcastle looks forward to building upon their playoff win total in the upcoming week. Girls' Hockey Report K. McPherson- Optometrist Novice played against Oshawa Corky's. Amanda Watters played her usual outstanding game in net. The girls played great offensively and defensively, Clarington played but were denied the chance to Cordova only to score against Corky's goal- tender, Page Marlow. The only goal of the game went to Tracy Mulligan of Corky's lent effort proving that they arc of "B" quality after being reclassified from a "C". Both games were won by a goal difference. They are getting ready for a trip to Ottawa on April 26 to represent Ontario in the Triple Play National Tournament.
