Hepatitis B immunization for high school students is also available at this clinic. In the Fall of 1996, a one-year hepatitis B vaccine campaign for these students was launched. New Logo for Ontario Parks Natural Resources Minister Chris Hodgson toady launched a new parks logo that will create create increased .awareness of Ontario's provincial parks. "Ontario has one of the finest parks systems in the world and we are committed to making it even better," said Hodgson. "We want to ensure that more people than ever know about our parks and visit them" The main symbols of the new pafks identity - trees, water and waves - represent the beauty, tranquility and recreational activities offered by parks. The new logo will be gradually introduced on merchandise, merchandise, signs, staff uniforms, publications and vehicles, and will play an important part in creating a memorable visual identity for the parks. Show judge Christine Gill commented on the quality of the show. The judge's choice prize was awarded to June Heard for a beautiful pale beige iris. Lorna Atkins received the most points in the show with 21 points. On July 5, eight society members have opened their gardens for a public garden tour. Some members prepared flower baskets for Orono Cemetery Decoration Day on June 22. This is a yearly fund raising event for the society. The summer flower and vegetable show with guest speaker Christine Gill speaking speaking on "Growing Delphiniums" is August 7, 7:30 p.m. at Orono United Church. New members are welcome. Avery Dennison Donates $5,000 The Clarington Fire Department's defibrilator campaigi _farington Fire Department's defibrilator campaign received its largest donation to date on June 20th, when the folks at Avery Dennison pitched in $5,000. The generous contribution contribution puts the fire department a quarter of the way toward its goal to raise $35,000 to buy defibrilators for five of its fire trucks.
