Trophy winners were John Clarke with Jim Kelly of Whitby scoring 49 points. Runners-up were Ned Town with John Morton of Port Hope scoring 49 + 2 points. In third place Cord Terwillegar with Jack Tisdall of Oshawa scoring 44 plus 2 points. One game high winners winners were also from Oshawa viz. John Cook with John Soo scoring 39 plus 7 points. All entrants of both tournaments tournaments go home saying how much they enjoy bowling in Bowmanville because of good greens, good fellowship and of course, good food. While the tournament was taking place on Saturday, two of our bowlers, Frank Petrie and Bob Cameron, were in Oshawa having entered the Men's Pairs District Playdowns. They won both their games on Saturday which meant a third game on Sunday. They bowled their best but lost out in the tie breaker. Your club is still proud of you! The winners, David Anderson and John Devonshire, of Oshawa Club, will represent our District at the Ontario Finals. Next Tournament in Bowmanville is Goodyear on Sunday, July 13th.
