The syringes were seized by police and submitted for destruction. Youngster punched --- A 10-year-old Bowmanvillc boy was assaulted by a young offender while at the Liberty Pentecostal Church around 11:30 p.m. The youngster was pushed to the ground, punched in the face, and when he tried to get up, pushed to the ground again. •••••••• Saturday, June 28 No mail today -- A Leskard Road, Orono resident reported reported that her mail box went missing overnight. The man's vehicle vehicle went airborne through some trees and landed 15 metres south of the roadway. Police say the vehicle is a writer-off, and that the man sustained only minor injuries. Failure to stop charge -- A 38-year-old Bowmanvillc woman was north-bound on Silver St. at Church St. when she came to the intersection. Police noted she though the stop was actual a four-way stop intersection. After stopping stopping she proceeded through and hit another vehicle. Suspicious person -- A Newcastle resident reported to police that her seven-year old son and three other neighbourhood neighbourhood boys between 11 to 13 years were approached by a man at the Newcastle Marina who made some sexual sexual comments to them. Crimestoppers Seek Help Solving Mischief/Hate Crime Crime Stoppers and Durham Regional Police are asking for your help in solving a mischief/hate crime that occurred in Brooklin between May 23rd and 25th of this year. Sometime during the weekend St. Leo's Church and Catholic School located on Baldwin Street were forcibly entered. Suspects entered the church sanctuary where they removed a large wooden crucifix and life-size statue of the Virgin Mary. These items were taken to the school yard located located behind the church and destroyed. The suspect(s) then broke into two of the portables where computers valued at $1,000, were damaged and hate slogans were written on the desks and walls.
