Newman (TURN TO PAGE TWO) Local Couple Injured In Motorcycle Crash Two Bowmanville residents were admitted to Memorial Hospital Friday, September 8th after the motorcycle they were riding went out of control control on Highway 2. David MacDonald, 19, of 3 Durham Street, and his wife Karen, 18, were heading west on Highway 2, just outside the east town limits when Mr. MacDonald lost control of the bike and spun into the ditch. They then hit a flowering crab tree owned by Howard Wood, snapping the tree off and crashed into a parked car owned owned by Geert Vandenberg. Mr. MacDonald suffered multiple fractures to his left arm and his wife sustained a fractured left scapula.
