The celebration will be held at the Bowmanvilie Lions Centre. During the ceremonies, Lions District Governor George Fournier of Kingston, Ontario will present the members of the new club with their official charter. Yet to be officially confirmed will be the attendance of Larry Hannah, Claringlon Councillor; Alex Shepherd, MP; and John O'Toole, MPP; plus members members of the District A3 Lions family. Members of the Lions Club of Bowmanvilie, who sponsored the formation formation of the Courtice Lions Club, will also be on hand to congratulate the new club. "I am proud to welcome welcome these men and women as fellow Lions. Courtice will be proud too, to have such a fine group serving their community," said Lion Jim Coombcs, President of the Bowmanvilie Club. Small Businesses Meet At the September 17lh meeting of the Durham Home and Small Business Association, Elly Gotz, Director of the Toronto School of Business, will share his experience and ideas on how to start and operate a small or home- based business. The meeting meeting runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., at the CAW hall, 1250 Phillip Murray Drive, Oshawa. The new DH and SBA executive will also be introduced. The Durham Home and Small Business New , Meeting Schedule For Trustees The public board will now meet once a month and, as well, all trustees will meet monthly as a committee-of-lhc-whole to review policies and issues from the board's major committees. "The new system is to help improve efficiency in the transition to an amalgamated amalgamated school board," says board chairperson Bob Willsher. "We couldn't couldn't run the number of committee meetings that we had with a reduced senior administration," the chair of the Northumberland- Clarington Board of Education added. Last May, both boards approved establishing an interim shared senior administration for the two boards which took effect this August. It means fewer senior administrators administrators and will save the two boards $400,000. On parade will be two guard formations from the Regiment, four formations from the Regiment's affiliated Cadet units, a formation of Regimental veterans and association members, members, and a band. The parade will also involve a parade roll-past of approximately 14 historical armoured vehicles from the Regimental Museum.
