One day last week May Shortridge enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Lorenza McArthur, a former resident resident of Blackstock, in the Peterborough nursing home where she lives. May accompanied Betty McArthur of Toronto when she travelled to Peterborough to visit her mother. Sue Green is now a patient in Kingston General Hospital. Her many friends wish her well at this difficult difficult time. On Sunday afternoon a Memorial Decoration service service was held at St. John's Anglican cemetery. Reverend Hugh ' Kernohan conducted the service and Reverend Reg Rose gave the message. The St. John's Choir sang an anthem "On Angels' Wings" accompanied by Linda McLaughlin on the keyboard. In addition a dedication for the additional land recently bought was part of the service. This decoration service was the first held at the cemetery for approximately approximately 25 years. The Board would like to thank the large number who came from near and far to attend this service.
