An extra feature this year, for many children, is the forming of a choir and a praise team which will be led by a staff member. There will also be more learning for the teachers, too. Petrusma would like to develop the art skills of all the teachers. With two art specialists on staff, and an artist at Durham Christian High School, he sees this area as a priority. Another priority is responding to the way students students learn. He wants to make sure that each student student has a balanced program, program, suited to the individual individual in ways that "meet the different needs of the student." student." Although classes only resumed three weeks ago, Petrusma had been on the job since the beginning of August. "I began reading about the committees and policies policies before the doors opened," he said with a smile. One of the things he has been learning about the school "is the number of supportive and caring people" people" who are a part of it. He also recognizes "the helpfulness of the staff and the community," which has welcomed him and his family to Bowmanvillc. He noted that he wants his association with the school and the school's association with the Clarington community to be a positive one.
