AIDS Committee Hosts Walk as Fundraiser The AIDS Committee of Durham is launching AIDS Walk Canada in our Region. Taking place on Sunday, September 28th, in the streets of Oshawa, organizers organizers hope to raise more than $10,000 and attract hundreds of walkers. Now in it's fifth year, AIDS Walk Canada is Durham's largest and most visible AIDS fundraiser. As in previous years, AIDS Walk Canada in Durham coincides with similar events taking place across the country in almost 70 towns, villages and cities. Last year, more than 65,000 individuals across the country raised over $2.5 million. Organizers arc confident confident that September 28(h will be the largest single day AIDS fundraising effort in Canadian history.
