Following a massive stroke he passed away on September 12, 1997 at the Port Perry Hospital Hospital at 78 years of age. He attended Lindsay Collegiate Collegiate in his youth where he was an honour student. Later he and his wife Eileen became involved in Pork Production as their farm operation operation which expanded to include include a partnership with their son Terry and his wife Brenda and their family members. members. He was a dedicated family man and was always Involved in his children's and grandchildren's grandchildren's activities, sports, 4-H activities, etc. In the Yelverton community he was totally immersed in both church and community, and active In all aspects of same. Howard's funeral was held at the Mackey Funeral Home in Lindsay on Sunday, September September 14. Mrs. Michelle Hoffman D.M. officiated at the ceremony and the eulogy eulogy was provided jointly by son Terry Malcolm and daughter Candice Bannon. The pallbearers were three grandsons Todd, Jeremy and Jason Malcolm, Bill Richmond, Jack Burton and Michael Staples. Honorary pallbearers were Nell Malcolm, Art Rowan, Art Cation, Floyd Stinson, Harvey Malcolm and Trevor Nesbitt. Interment took place in the family plot in the Yelverton United Church Cemetery.
