The Eagles controlled controlled the action for the majority of the first period and only sharp goaltending kept them scoreless. They were rewarded with their first goal by Zach Thoraval, set up nicely by Josh Kcwcll and Doug Myles. The second period was a more evenly played period. Josh Kcwcll found the bhek of the net with assists by John O'Connell and Zach Thoraval. The final marker came in the third when a long clearing shot was misplayed by the Richmond Hill goaltcnder. Full credit to Brendan Kalijundic for the heads up play. The lone Richmond Hill marker came late in the game from a scramble in front of keeper Pauly Johnson to mar an otherwise otherwise well played game. The next outing was an exhibition game against an aggressive, well disciplined Orono team. The results of this matchup was a disappointing disappointing 10-3 loss, goals were scored by Todd Dcchcnc, John O'Connell and Zach Thoraval. Assists were tallied by Zach, Greg Vanlcydcn and Josh Kewell. Both Jesse Millson and Cory Burns had excellent physical games for the team, playing the body well on several Orono rushes.
