Downtown Bowmanville Rinas in the Christmas Season Moonlight Magic To put everyone in the spirit of the season, Bowmanvillc's Downtown Business Improvement Area will host an evening of "Moonlight Magic" this Friday, December 5th. Bowmanville's main street will be closed to regular traffic, commencing commencing at six p.m., to allow everyone the added freedom freedom of strolling the downtown downtown until midnight. Garth Gilpin, Manager of the Bowmanville DBIA, estimates 2,000 people will gather for the tree lighting ceremony shortly after seven p.m. Extra portable bleachers will be brought in to accommodate the crowd. Nevertheless, people are advised to arrive early. "If you want a seat in the bleachers, you'd better arrive before seven p.m.," he says.
