It will ij be a lot of fun for all those K.." who attend. The Spirit Committee continues to plan hilarious events and theme days. They 1 kicked off spring with a week long tribute to the movie classic, Grease. The week was a lot of fun for everyone everyone who participated in things like a root-bccr- float chugging contest, hula hoop contest and a fifties style dance contest. Staff and students students are looking looking forward to being moved next September Many- senior students are filled with anticipation for an upcoming annual event. THE PROM! There's talk of dresses and shoes, tuxedos and limou sines. Whispers of who's going with whom can be heard everywhere. The Prom Committee has done an amazing job of planning planning all the details, and with a car wash still to come, it looks as if the night will be perfect. The countdown has begun as we arc into the home stretch at this location. location. Our new school on Middle Road is progressing progressing at a very fast pace and both staff and students are looking forward to being moved in next September. Teachers have worked very hard this year in participating participating in the planning for the new facility and many regularly visit the site to ensure that things are being built according to plan. It's a beautiful building and all students should take pride in their physical space next year and in the years to come in high school. Burger King Helps School Raise Funds For the second year in a row, Bowmanvillc's Burger King restaurant has hosted a fund-raiser for the Dr. Tilley Elementary School in Bowmanville. Twenty per cent of proceeds from net sales on Monday evening, April 20, went to the school's campaign and about 200 families attended. Many volunteers helped to make the evening a success, including Georgette Davis, Barb Tukkcr and Carroll Farrow who arc pictured at the French fry station.
