The Clarington Swim Club has about 150 members members of which 30 are selected to represent their team. This was a "make or break" year for the team as they were sending in a relatively young and inexperienced inexperienced group to defend their spot in the Division. The swimmers did an outstanding outstanding job, equalling the team's best ever finish of 15th. "It was a real team effort," said coach Karen Holbrook, "It was a situation situation where every single point counted and individual individual swimmers were producing producing excellent performances performances in order to make the finals and get points for the team. We couldn't rely on one or two strong swimmers. We needed every swimmer to rise to the occasion and they did."
