Bowmanville, Saturday, May 30, I99S Bowmanville Dancers Hit Gold Three Bowmanville dancers, who compete with Creative Dance Workshop in Osliawa, made a strong showing at CanDancc Trophy Competition and Pageant. The dancers taking part in the pageant started on Sunday, April 26 learning the opening number to be performed performed the night of pageant. On Monday they continued with an interview and classes in jazz, tap and ballet. Their solos were performed on Wednesday, April 29. The class the Bowmanville dancers competed in was Teen. The studio also had competitors in the Mini on the same night and Junior/Seniors who competed on Thursday night. The Creative Dance Workshop is happy to report the following results: Olivia Baron-Clarke 4th runner up in Mini; Kelly Austin (Bowmanville) 4th runner up; Melanie Arnott (Bowmanville) 3rd mnner up; Cormic Henry (Whitby) 2nd mnner up; Marcy Kuzcmchak (Osliawa) 1st mnner up; and Trisha Jeffers (Bowmanville) crowned Teen Miss CanDancc East for 1998.
