The Canadian Soccer Association, which has established gender equity as one of its goals, has launched the Sunny Delight Soccer Skills Program dedicated to developing the talents of both boys and girls in Canada. It was confirmed that Durham College will host the 1998 OCAA Women's Softball Championships on October 23 and 24. Durham is the defending OCAA Champion. Durham will play host, for the seventh consecutive consecutive year, to the 1999 OCAA/Chevrolct Men's and Women's Basketball All-Star Games on January 23. Finally, DC will play host to the OCAA Women's Basketball Final 4 Championships on March 12 and 13, 1999.
