Josh Millar recorded the shutout enroule to a 6- 0 win. Josh preserved his shutout with a breakaway save late in the first half. A strong defensive core lead by Greg Stevenson, ,Ian Robinson, Matt Kurianowicz and Bob Ball kept Malvern at bay most of the game. Mid-fielders Jason Hibbard, Nick Dcfrcitas, Ben Tonks, Dan Kleinnicnhuis, Andrew Sesti and Peter Frisina had total control of the midfield. midfield. Forwards Steve Ficc, Mark Abernclhy and Brent Stockman had many scoring scoring opportunities. Mark and Steve, along with Peter Frisina, scored a goal each, while Brent set up Nick Dcfrcitas for his first of three goals. Nick's second goal was the result of a breakaway pass from Matt Kurianowicz and his hat- trick came off a penally shot after Steve was brought down in the box. Peter Frisina's goal was a hard, well placed shot to the top left side of the net from twenty five meters out. Steve and Mark scored their goals on rebounds from six meters out. Bobby Ball had a golden opportunity as his corner kick hit the crossbar. crossbar. Missing from this game was Chris Baumhauer. Coach Steve Kurianowicz, assist, coach Mike Dcfrcitas and Manager Lyla Fice were ecstatic with the team's performance. Wrigglcsworlh (#36 C- CAN Power Systems/Barklcy Print & Copy Chevrolet) flip Hopped the lead numerous times with eventual second place finisher Larry Jackson (#61 McQuay- Norris/Gary Jackson Trucking Chevrolet), Graham Brown (#20 Oakdale Collision/Fram/Aulomatic s Plus Chevrolet) and Dwight Brown (#2 Tcxis Exhaust/NGK/Kcndall Oil Chevrolet). At the finish line, it was Wrigglcsworlh, Jackson, Dwight and Graham Brown and Veitch. Heat race winners were Jackson with two, Dwight Brown and Veitch. MAC Tools/Bob's Towing Thunder Cars Bailicboro's Rob Glanvillc used a second place starting position to propel himself to his first ever Thunder Car feature win at Mosport Speedway, taking the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looking back. Todd LaRochc (#20) had the pole, but Glanvillc (#74 Sleeve Auto Supply Camaro) drove around the outside of LaRochc, as he dropped back to eighth after one lap. Glanvillc was able to open up a lead over the second place car of Richard Holmes (#42), who was later disqualified for refusing to let track tech inspectors look at his car following the race. Points leader Shawn Hardy (#24 Easton Enclosed Trailcrs/Souch's Septic Service) was fighting. fighting. to get into the top ten, with the cars of Roy Marlcll (#2 Daly Concrete Coring/Polar Motorsports Malibu), Terry Shaw (#66). Three cars were involved in a minor mishap that left Bourque silting in the lop spot. Chasing the newcomer were Grant Edwards (#10 VitalSigns Camaro), Sam Hazlcwood (#45 C&C Pcrformancc/Sam's Auto Repair Monte Carlo), PccWcc Evans (#90 Bowen's Automotive Monte Carlo) and Rick Brown (#44 Lone Star Cafc/Prcstone Antifreeze Monte Carlo). Hanley (#72 FlexMor Trucking/Raylcnc Racing Monte Carlo) took over the top spot with a move around Brown and then set his sites on third place. Just past the halfway mark, Hanley was able to gel around Evans before diving to the inside of Edwards to take over second second place. He then quickly moved up and took command command after getting by Bourque. Both Edwards and Evans then got by Bourque, who was shuffled back to fourth. Hanley crossed the finish finish line on top, followed by Edwards, Evans, Bourque and Brown.
