On Sunday, June 14th at 10:30 a.m. at the Enniskillen Conservation Area. Bring lawn chairs, games, ball gloves, plates and cutlery. Enniskillen folks will bring dessert and Tyrone folks will bring first course. We will provide coffee, tea and cold drinks. Worship will begin at 10:30. The Take A Break group meets Monday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Enniskillen Church. Children are always welcome. It's time to plan for .Vacation Bible School. This year Tyrone will hold their Vacation Bible School August 10-14 and in Enniskillen August 17-21. These services will be all joint services at Durham East 4-H Horse Club The second meeting of the Durham East 4-H Horse Club was held on Tuesday, May 19 at the Trillium Morgan Horse Farm, Orono. The meeting was led by Katie Cartwright in the absence of both our President and Vice President. The topic for this meeting meeting was First Aid that is given to a sick or injured animal. We split up into groups of four to list all the tools that should be contained contained in a first aid kit, We then shared our lists and discussed discussed each item, including tweezers, leg wraps, thermometers, thermometers, petroleum jelly, dermacil etc. Our next meeting will be held on June 23, 1998 at Coalition Acres at 7:30 p.m. Jennifer kroft Enniskillen at 10 o'clock. I do have to agree with them; we do live in a very special community! 411 News The Enniskillen Story Tellers held their 6th meeting meeting on Friday, May 8th at 6:00. This meeting was held in the Enniskillen Church portable. We started out by say- ■ ing the 4-H pledge and taking attendance. We then bad a full dress rehearsal of the play we will present to our parents. During the meeting we had a guest speaker. Mrs. Shaw, from Mary Kay, came to talk and demonstrate demonstrate bow to do make up on actors and actresses. After her presentation, Blaise VanEyk thanked her on behalf of the 4-H club. We will not be meeting again until we go to sec a performance of dance in Whitby. They're All VIPs The 15th annual graduation of grade six students from the VIP program took place last week at Enniskillen Public School. VIP stands for Values, Influences and Peers. In the program, representatives of the Durham Regional Police work with teachers to bring grade six students helpful information on topics such as the law, responsible decision-making and peer pressure. Pictured above with the grade six class are: Larry Rogers who, along with Phil Red ford, leaches the grade sixes; Constable Mike Marks; and Bruce Lush of the Bowmanville Lions Club.
