The Clarington/Courtice Independent, Bowmanvillc, Saturday, June 6, 1998 Page 3 Students Win Scholarships At Fleming College -- Four Area Youths Among 19 Winners -- The first recipients of academic excellence entrance scholarships at Sir Sand ford Fleming College were announced June 3. Among the 19 winners were Sara Pollock, of Bowmanvillc High School; Jaime McIntosh, of Clarke High School; Jeff Lockwood, of Courticc Secondary School and Cory Phillips, of St. Stephen's Secondary School in Bowmanvillc. One scholarship is awarded to the top student at each of the high schools in the college's catchment area who will be studying at Fleming. The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition for one academic year, which is $1,543 as well as ancillary ancillary fees of $297.
