The graduates arc shown along with Constable Peter Bramma; Grade Six teacher Barb Colder; Principal Sharon Trbovich; and parent volunteer Gail Hoskin. Representing the Lions Club, which is a sponsor of the program, are Ron White and Bob Simpson. The VIP program for grade six students studies issues related to youth and the law, along with making wise choices. choices. This year, 135 schools took part in the program within Durham Region. Sympathy is extended to the Phillips families on the passing of Annie Phillips. Until the last few years, Mrs. Phillips lived next to the church in the home her parents parents (Gardiners) occupied. She was a quiet person, interested interested in her family. Piano pupils of Mrs. Phyllis Dewell took part in a recital at St. Saviour's church in Orono, last Sunday. From this area, Sarah, Katherine and Miriam Kocne, Elisha Vaneyk and Angela Vaneyk demonstrated their skills to parents and grandparents. Katherine Real and Alvina Hare hosted a baby shower for Madelainc Roberts and her mother, Cindy, last Thursday. The Clemens Road neighbours, past and present, attended. Nurses who graduated from Oshawa Hospital School of Nursing held a reunion on the weekend. Betty Phillips Roberts (35 years) and Esther Rosevear Devolin (30 years) were among those who attended. Also attending was a woman who graduated 71 years ago and she looked marvellous! June 14 is the day of the Enniskillen-Tyrone Charge Picnic at Enniskillen Conservation Area. Worship will be at 10:30 a.m. with games and lunch to follow. Tyrone people are asked to bring a first course dish this year. Everyone is welcome! June 21 and 28 Reverend Norm will be on holidays. N. in Oshawa will be extended an extra TWO hours on Thursdays only from June 4th until October 1st. The gates will now close at 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays instead of 4:00 p.m. during this period. We will have races and games for the kids, a great tug of war and the worship will be fun and informal. Reverend Soli's banjo playing father will be part of the worship. Its time to plan for Vacation Bible School. We run morning programmes for kids. Programmes of story, song, activity and fun around a Bible Theme. Make room on your calendar calendar right away.
