Kelly Tatton took the loss but battled hard before getting into trouble in the seventh when a combination of errors, walks and timely hitting provided the Markham squad with their victory. The Badgers infield defence also had an tiff night at times and directly led to three unearned Markham runs. I The Bowmanvillc offence collected six hits in defeat. Second basewoman Megan Carter with a single and a double led the way. While Pcrnillc Petersen, Stacey ^oût, Jen Cowan and Kelsey Missons each had one hit apiece. r The Badgers arc very proud to announce that the new powmanville Loblaws store has decided to become the team's major sponsor for the 1998 season.
