Cruelty to Animals Conviction On May 29th, 1998 Mr. Harry Thorley of Cannington was convicted of Cruelty to Animals in Oshawa Criminal Court, Provincial Division. Mr. Thorley had neglected to provide adequate food for several Husky type dogs, which resulted in three dogs' being humanely destroyed due to their emaciated condition. Mr. Thorley entered a plea of guilty and was given 2 years probation and ordered not to possess any animals. He is also required as part of his probation probation to submit to regular inspections by Inspector Betty Van Setcrs of the Oshawa and District Humane Society of his premises to ensure compliance. compliance.
