For the first time, this local shop is sponsoring mountain bike rides every Thursday night on off-road trails in the Bethany area. The 86'ers carried the play to their opponents throughout the match with a combination of good individual skills along with clever team play. Although Darlington would create numerous chances, a strong performance by the Croatian keeper and . some unlucky finishing saw the half end scoreless. When play resumed in the second half, the Darlington team continued to pressure the Toronto defence. This would eventually pay off with two quick goals by Johnny Greer to give his team some breathing room. With time running down, Croatia closed the gap to one goal with eight' minutes remaining. Four minutes later, they were awarded a penalty kick and suddenly the score was tied. In the final three minutes of the match the 86'ers showed maturity beyond their years. Instead of panicking, the team simply resumed their attack on the Croatian goal. First, Korey Brown would catch, the keeper off his line and score his team's third goal. Finally, an excellent cross by Kyle Myschowda was nodded into a wide open net for a 4-2 Darlington win. Again, it should be mentioned mentioned that during this match, the Darlington team showed very sound team play throughout using team work to defeat the opposition in this game. Kenny Robertson scored three well executed goals for the Hams. Eric Fegan scored his first goal of the season and Kyle Sullivan rounded off the scoring with a marker of his own. Kayne Ritchie and Chelsea Goldsworthy played an excellent game in net each recording a shut-out. Contributing to the win with strong performances were Zachery Berridge and Justin Campbell.
