The Highlight of the day was a beautiful white gown brought by Pippa Schmicgelow and donated by Melody Massey, widow of Hart. The gown was owned by Anna Vincent Massey wife of Chester Massey and mother of Vincent and Raymond. It dales to approximately 1886. Enniskillen News Werry Family Gathers for 125th Reunion July 18 by Betty Wright On July 5, wc held the Sacrament of Baptism. Baby Alan David Carruthcrs, son of Sharon Mary (Herrington) and the late Alan Archie Carruthcrs was baptized. Sharon and family had other family members and friends join them at their home after the baptism of baby Alan. The church combined services will be held in Enniskillen for July at 10 a.m. Reverend Doug Warren, formerly of Hampton, will be with us next week. There has been some wind damage throughout throughout the community - trees down, windows blown in and hydro out. Our propane lank rolled over with some trees. Wc also had hail damage, to the corn and beans, and I see some barley down here and there. The upside is that with warm weather and rain, everything is growing very quickly. ' Thanks once again to our local fire department who supervised downed power lines until hydro crews got here. A few weeks ago, they were called to put out a brush fire behind the village. Archibald Orchards and Winery held a successful Open House last Thursday evening. They have had great success in competitions with some of their new wines. There have been several break-ins lately. The Orange Hall was a victim recently, losing some furniture. It helps if we keep an eye out for each other! The Vaneyk families spent last weekend in Rockton at an Antique Tractor and Hobby Show. Besides the old tractors and a few steam engines, the car show, a private army vehicle vehicle collection, crafts and lot of other stuff, the feature attraction of Saturday evening was the Combine Crunch, a demolition derby using combi combi ncs.Every body should sec one! Word from Malaysia is that this is the time to visit parts of Indonesia! Karen has just returned from a trip to the island of Bintan, where hotels were almost empty and she, the driver and the tour guide enjoyed a couple of bus tours.
