Garden Honors Museum Volunteer A garden has been planted in memory of Bowmanville Museum volunteer Tom Webb, who served as tour guide at the building between 1986 and 1997. The garden includes a professionally restored arbour which dates back to the 1920s or 1930s, plus a perennial bed, birdbalh and bench in a sunny nook beside the greenhouse. Generous donations from the community made the project possible. A ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 8th, to open the garden garden and acknowledge the contribution of Tom Webb, who died in January. Shown above arc: Museum Board Chair Arnold Bark; Property Chair Dianne McKenzie; Curator Charles Taws; and Miriam Lambert and Josie Watts, two of Mr. Webb's friends from the Wilmot Creek community.
