In recognition of his services, The Easter Seal Society was pleased to confer the Silver Meritorious Service Award on Robert Lawton of Cambridge, Robert Lawton is a founding member of the first Kiwanis Key Club in Canada, when he was still in high school in Ottawa. He held officer positions in both the Brockvillc Kinsmen, and in the Bowmanville Lions. He was also the President of Bowmanville Chamber of Commerce and followed that with membership in the Galt Rotary. Today, he is a long-term member of the Cambridge Rotary where lie has held the responsibility of Chair of their Easter Seal Committee for many years. Robert is also a member of Kiwanis, Kinsmen, Lions and Rotary Clubs. Over the years, Robert and these wonderful organizations organizations have worked to support many worthy causes, causes, especially children with physical disabilities. He lias ait excellent knowledge of the needs of local Easter Seal families, and he is truly an active contributor in his community. Robert received The Society's Bronze Award in 1991.
