Baked goods, knitted wares, and various second-hand items were sold to raise funds for the hall, youth groups, and other projects. Kids Helping Kids Teenagers from Newcastle United Church used money raised at a fund-raiser last Mother's Day to go on a bit of a shopping spree in Bowmanville last weekend. The teens used the money to purchase movies to help entertain children in Lakeridgc Health Bowmanvillc's paediatric department. Zellers helped out by providing a 15 percent percent discount on the tapes purchased by the group.
