MVP went to Derek Graham. VS Guelph (2-3) A tough loss for the team after coming back from being down. Joey Duval assisted by Christopher Lachance and Matt Garrow scored our first goal. David Robbins assisted by Andrew Rhynold and Scott Dwinncll scored the second. MVP went to Andrew Rhynold. Gens Lose to Ottawa Three goals in the third period lifted the visiting Ottawa 67's to a 4-1 victory over the Oshawa Generals in an OHL league game played Sunday night at the Civic Auditorium. Joe Talbot had a goal and three assists to lead Ottawa, and was named the game's second star. Kevin Colley had Oshawa's lone goal, with assists to Brent Gauvreau and Brad Ralph. Tyrone Gamer made 28 saves in net for Oshawa, while his counterpart, Lavente Szuper, of Ottawa, made 35 stops and was named the game's first star. The loss drops Oshawa's record to 7-9-2 on the season. They are currently in fourth place in the five-team Eastern Division. Oshawa narrowed its roster last week when they released overage winger Warren Holmes. Holmes cleared waivers and has been given his release by the hockey club. Also, the player of the week ending November 15, is centre centre Brent Gauvreau. After playing the rounds at Newcastle Golf Course for 30 years, John accd the popular Par 3 #17. Ian Bates of Oshawa watched John's 9 iron shot fly 123 yards straight to the hole. Last but not least, Mike Newcomb of Newcastle used the wind to his advantage to ace the 215 yard #7 with a 7 iron, Marshall Mike and Dime-Graber Gary witnessed Ottawa Mike's 1st Hole-in-Onc on November 11, 1998.
