She was part of Canadian Tire's Christmas Memories float in Saturday's Santa Claus parade. MINI-MOUNTIES -- Children of RCMP officers from the Bowmanvillc detachment donned the traditional red RCMP serge to be part of the police force's float. The float depicted the children celebrating Christmas at a cabin in the woods. A BEAR-Y MERRY CHRISTMAS -- The "Timothy's First Country Christmas" float featured a giant bear made entirely of balloons. The float, entered by Tim's Party Centre and Country Lane Furniture and Gifts, took top honours in the senior float category of the parade, LETTERS TO SANTA -- The Bowmanvillc parade committee's I'll box, to help depict the parade's "Letters To Santa" theme. The float was completed by children carrying letters addressed to die Big Guy at the North Pole. '♦ -A:.- ?4 MUSICAL GREETINGS -- The Central Public School Band marched the streets of Bowmtmville's downtown, playing Christmas carols during the 37th annual Santa Claus parade. The band wtis one'of 63 entries in the parade. WAITING FOR SANTA -- The streets were lined two and three-people deep for Saturday's Santa Claus parade. Parade watchers -- including Amber, Brittany, Bradley, and Dad Alex Stevenson, of Oshawa --- were waiting to catch a glimpse of Jolly Old St. Nick.
