The Eagles felt the competition when faced with the Whitby team on November 14, aware that Whitby was 4 and 0, never having won by less than five goals in a game. The Eagles' Brett Brown scored on a rush in the first period period assisted by Dylan McMahon and Danny Bryan. In the second second period, Whitby tied the game, leaving Clarington with a short lived challenge after Clarington took the lead with a goal by Dylan McMahon assisted by Richard Braybrook. Half way through the third period Whitby tied the game once again. Hard work paid off as the Eagles scored for the lead with an unassisted goal by Dylan McMahon. Whitby then scored with 1:06 remaining in the game. The Eagles left the arena proud to have ended Whitby's winning streak. Great goaltending was displayed by Sant Andrews and Kevin Mitchell, not to mention great work on the part of Brett Brown, Danny Bryan, Keith Collerman, Dylan Pitchforth and Patrick Stockwell. During tournament play, Rob Campbell, Erie Downey, Zack Ibbotson and Colin Organ were instrumental in keeping the puck clear of the net and the other team from getting any rebounds.
