Bears Make Life Bearable The Lakcridge Health Oshawa Sexual Assault Care Centre is now accepting accepting donations of small and medium-sized teddy bears Hospital Ra ffle Winners The Association of Hospital Volunteers at Lakcridge Health Bowmanville recently held their Christinas rallie. All proceeds raised will be directed to the purchase of new wheelchairs for the hospital. Winning first prize, a blanket box, was Eric Ehret. The second prize Christmas stocking went to Evan Wilvoct and the third prize, a floral arrangement, went to Louise Byorsky. Legion Stuffs a Van Branch 178 of the Royal ' Canadian Legion is inviting all of Clarington to drop by their parking lot at 109 King St. E., Bowmanville, to "stuff a van." The Legion will have vans parked at the site this Saturday, December 12th. They invite the publifc to attend between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with donations of non- perishable foods. Your contributions contributions will go to the Salvation Army food banks and will be used in Christmas baskets for those who require them this Christmas. Let's all pull together! Why not add a couple of extra items for a family to share during the holidays. Toys are also accepted. to give the children they care for a little more comfort comfort and security.
