The Toros started the week in Peterborough and thoroughly dominated the Nationals in each of the three periods, finishing the game with a 7-0 victory. Friday night saw the Toros travel to Ajax to meet the Knights without the services of Coach Murphy who was tired after the grueling two hour practice in the afternoon. The Knights came out flying flying and quickly scored the first goal. But assistant coach Ron Pither soon had the boys back on track and they nursed a narrow 2-1 lead moving into the third period. The last period saw the Toros offence come to life and they rolled to a 5-2 victory, backed by the rock solid goaltending of Scott Junkin and Jory Fuller. On Sunday, the Toros travelled up the 400 to meet the Barrie Flyers at the beautiful Allandale Rec. Centre. With coach Murphy back behind the bench, the boys were anxious to get going and were on the scoreboard before the first minute had passed. The Toros continued to press the Barrie net, firing 30 shots by the end of the game and skating away with a decisive 11-1 victory. victory. The final period period saw TRT Aggregates add three more goals, with Cobourg scoring only once, for a final score of 4- 1. The other three goals were scored by Michael Bertoni from B.J. The final game for the "A" Championship had TRT Aggregates pitted against the only other undefeated team, another Cobourg team. Cobourg jumped to a three goal lead in the first period. Undaunted, TRT Aggregates never gave up and battled back to score two unanswered goals in the second period and one early in the third. In the first game against the Hawkcsbury Hawks, Clarington won 4-0. Goals were scored by Jenna Law assisted by Pammy MacDonald, Tara Slcmon assisted by Mandi Brown, Michelle Hodgson assisted by Lisa Gilmour and Laura Harris, and from the bluclinc Suzanne McLellan, unassisted. Outstanding plays were made by forwards Kristina Rai and Jess Tcrrion. The shutout went to Amanda Bonnet. The second game the team met up with the Gloucester Phantoms. In a tough game the Clarington girls came up with a 2-1 win. Goals for this game went to McLellan assisted by Hodgson and Gilmour, and Hodgson with one Young Drivers Remain Unbeaten Young Drivers of Canada skated away with two more victories to bring their record to an impressive 5-0-1 in the Clarington Novice Hockey League. They were first pitted against Regal Capital and goalie Cory Posteraro recorded his first shut out for the season with an 8-0 win. Tyler Whyte notched six goals with singles going to Nicholas Chadwick (his first of the season) and Jonathan Kurianowicz. Calvin Kuzma picked up three assists and Ryan Gallagher, Mark Wroblewski, Jessie Nelson and Nicholas Chadwick were awarded one assist each.
